Geocache Description:

Parking for this cache is best done on Harolds Cross Road. BYO pen, retrieval and rolling tools. If FTF hunts around there is a treat to be found.

Rocky Pic Circuit The RPC is a drive through the beautiful Tallaganda State Forest. On a fine day there are lovely views to be seen, huge stands of old, majestic trees to be admired and of course the odd cache or two to be found. It is not an easy track for a sedan, but can be driven carefully. More caches may be added in the future. While the growth of the township of Captains Flat was due to the mining industry, the surrounding area was, and still is, a farming and logging area. The water wheel is located in a lovely part of the Tallaganda Forest known as Lowden Park. It was home to a logging camp and the water wheel is all that remains from the 1930's. It used to generate electricity to supply lighting for the loggers. It is well worth the drive to see this pretty spot which also houses another cache.
