The Rats: Went to check on this cache after a few DNF's and was surprised to see it MIA. Since this cache is over 5 years old I've decided to archive it so others can use this great spot.

Thanks to those who have enjoyed this fun hide.

Geocache Description:


Most large towns have one of these places. Wollongong certainly has one. Most towns that have one, have a cache hidden within and now ours does too. I'm talking about the Botanical Gardens. This is a great place to come and relax, reflect, enjoy the serenity, feed the ducks, have a picnic or simply enjoy the vast and varying plant life.

After scouring the depths of the park for a suitable location that wouldn't be uncovered by the workers or muggled by visitors we have managed to hide an ammo tin right in the heart of the park. This spot is so obvious its actually tricky. Muggles of all types may invade you at anytime, so be sure to use extremme stealth. Even as you retrieve the cache have your muggle excuse ready.

There is no need to leave the designated paths or hop in the gardens. Please respect the flora and the structure at GZ. Do NOT give anything away in your log and be sure to rehide the cache properly. The area closes at 5pm daily.
