DNF! Gz pointing into the zone underneath highest water levels. There are plenty of holes and gaps between the rocks. Tied from the top, from the bottom, the side. Didn't find any steep climb - just a bit of bouldering! Searched quite for a while, 40 mins or so. We also had a great time on the rocks which were exposed at low tide, looking for shells and sea anemones. Thaks for bringing us here, mate!

Interestin dune, deposited towards a mountain slope. And so different than the one we have in Stanwell Park, which has a valley between the sand crest and the rock. Backflow! Not so here, the sand goes smoothly into rock. Interesting, how laminar and turbulent flow may interact with the road, the slope and the upper border... For you guys to work out; won't tell too much!

A nice and warm day, after arrival yesterday in California, we'll spend some relaxing time at the coast. Still good for a swim, although no surf! The Arkaroo loves Earthcaches and as I saw there is one here at this magnificent sand hill, nix wie hin! A good exercise anyway, leaving YxZd and LZ quickly behind, who followed slowly while I took the opportunity to study sand grain sizes, wind flow and photo shooting. We all had great fun, particularly jumping downwards in large steps.

Logged with permission. Thanks for bringing us here and the very educative lesson! My first EarthCache in California!

Yx and Zd already enjoy the whole and want to go to the beach - wait! this is birdland and hard to access, let's just drive a bit down the coast. THTFM,

Second DNF on my two tries overseas caching day, after not having found BODMAS cache in New South Wales, took the plane to here, caught up with YzZd and LZ and straight to here. No luck, even after having tried 11 months ago - [red]any hint?[/red]. All looked pretty much the same, and I really cannot imagine where such a big cache should be stored, apart from climbing the palms...

First DNF of my two unsuccessful attempts to cache over the pacific ocean. In a hurry to seek Lord Of The Rings in California. Didn't realize this is a multi and the maths way too lengthy for being able to catch the plane, not yet knowing that it was delayed by 1.5 hours...

Visited 10/23/2011 The Arkaroo took it to On The Wings of an Eagle New South Wales, Australia - 16.75 miles Visit Log

On a walk with Kasamo from Japan, coming in from Gary Beach. Have to say, the path is extremely difficult and dangerous, as they have placed kilometers of iron meshes to walk on. What such military device is doing in a National Park? Not only that they are a danger for wildlife getting stuck, but also a OH&S hazard for ripping toed off, fingers if one falls and so on. To my opinion, the path has to be closed for safety reasons. Well, I guess, the responsibility lies with the people who placed those things - but I don't wanna be the first to get in serious trouble there. Seems these things happen when they raise entrance fees to our public land - they need an excuse to manage something!

The more we enjoyed the natural paths over rocks, sandy tracks, mud and bushland. The walk up from Gary was just gorgeous, leaving the busy beach behind. Good views here and there. I particularly love the waterfalls, like Currarurrong Creek near GZ. Have seen the falls passing by boat, but the first time up the track.

Good caving near GZ - an opportunity to get out of the sun and have a rest, somewhere squeezed under tons of rocks. Thanks for the hint with the torch! Easy and quick find, fair enough after a hard army track!

We enjoyed a swim in Gary beach and Kasamo the drive through the forest to Waterfall...
