My mom and several other family members are adult onset diabetics. Initial diagnosis scares lots of people and many think it is the end of the world. It's NOT!! By keeping thier diabetes under control with proper diet and exercise diabetics they all have enjoyed a normal lifestyle! In fact they all live a healthier lifestyle than prior to their diagnosis. When I heard about the the Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug Challenge knew I had to be a part of it. The Travel Bug was delivered today...just in time for my "4th Annual, New Year's Day Geocaching/Letterboxing Trip" around T-Town with my letterboxing/geocaching partner. In honor of my mom I will start this particular travel bugs journey at the geocache that is closest to her home! Good luck little bug and may you bring a greater awareness to others about diabetes in our great nation and others as you find your way to Sisauli, India!
