I've just marked this bug missing, as I confirmed today that the cache it was in had been muggled. I also dedicated my UN travel bug to my grandmother's memory, as she died from neglecting the disease. So I am sorry that this one did not travel farther for the benefit of the original placer.

Received my Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug...will place it in a cache soon! I am placing this travel bug in memory of my grandmother, who died from complications relating to diabetes 10 years ago. Because of her disease, she ended up losing a portion of her leg and was in and out of hospitals for the last part of her life. All the while, she remained an amazing woman who was a painter, writer, entrepreneur, crafter, and mother of 5. She died too young from a disease that may have been lessened had there been better awareness around diabetes! Hopefully the journey of this travel bug will spread awareness of diabetes and save another amazing woman who is out there and shouldn't die too young!
