My daughter has had Type 1 diabetes for the last 10 years, since she was 7. She will have it forever. This means lots of finger pricks to test her blood every day, lots of shots of insulin every day, lots of feeling yucky if this is not done perfectly every day. It is really crappy. If you see her on the street you would never know what she has to go trough to stay alive.
If you get a chance to donate to diabetes research organizations such as JDRF, please do.
