    Marking a Trackable as Missing

    Occasionally a trackable item such as a Travel Bug(R) or Geocoin is displayed on a cache listing on Geocaching.com but is no longer in the geocache. It is possible that another geocacher has picked it up and hasn't yet logged their find. However, if the trackable item is gone for good, it is a good idea to remove the item from the cache listing.

    Both trackable item owners and cache owners can remove trackable items from the cache listing by following the instructions found in the Groundspeak Knowledge Book:

    This will show the Travel Bug or Geocoin as being recently spotted in an "Unknown Location." Later, if the Travel Bug is found elsewhere, it can be grabbed by the geocacher and placed in the correct location.

    Did a recheck at the cache site and it is not there. Hopefully someone has not logged it yet but will in the near future. Hate to lose a treasure like this.

    Found this little gem without needing the GPS. Used the hints and Google Earth to locate. Lovely area and quiet at the time. I placed an earlier entry as Discovered it. It appears that I was to quick to record this find as erle3 had not logged the entry at that time. I will take TB to Finland for some snow.

    I found this TB in Rome, Italy under the cache name of "Le Tre Cannelle" coordinates N41 53.812 E 012 29.157. There was no listing for this TB being in that location though there was a similar TB listed for Unite for Diabetes but from Switzerland but then again that one was not in the cache. It also appeared that there was suppose to be several TB's and or GC's present but were also missing. The last entry for this TB is Out of cache "Wephnachts -und Pokalubergabestammtisch on 19 Dec 09 by "erel 3" but no entry of placing it in Le Tre Cannelle.

    I will take this TB to the snowy climate of Finland and find it a good home
