    Found this travel bug at Thin Air. Plan to start it's journey South by taking to Twin Cities area (Mpls.-St Paul). Will deposit there in a convenient location. - TwoRns assisted in finding and one of the Rn's is Type 1 Diabetic, so of real interest. TFTC and travel bug.

    Homa Bay, Kenya - A.K.A. 'Whittle Me A Mantee' began his journey in the 'Great Big Cache' today.

    I've attached a rough carving of a Manatee, a friendly creature that inhabits the springs and estuaries of Florida. Diving and playing with these mammals inspired me to begin a rough carving of one out of a chunk of American black walnut. Anyone who picks up this travel bug is encouraged to sand, whittle or carve him into a more refined replica! His goal is to visit Africa to help raise awareness of the diabetes epidemic there and elsewhere.
