Received this Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug upon request after adding my name to the UN petition, which was passed on this day by the UN. I'm a third-generation diabetic and have seen the problems that the disease have caused for my mother and grandmother. I don't want the same for my daughter, nor for anyone else's daughter. That's why I added my name to the UN petition and will send the Travel Bug on its way to Kotikawatta, Sri Lanka, to bring the problem of diabetes to the attention of people along the way.
