    Good news! This bug is in Iran in the hands of one of the very few geocachers in the country. He emailed this note: "I have some presentations in the hiking club in which I am a member. In three sessions I'll present some
    usages of GPS and I'll speak about geocaching. I hope
    I can promote more caches by hikers. If so, I'll put
    the bug in my caches, otherwise, I'll post it directly
    to Malayer to a diabetes specialist colleague so that
    he will use it as an educational thing."
    Hopefully, this bug will help promote geocaching as well as diabetes awareness in Iran.

    I grabbed the bug. I'll put it in my geocache in a few weeks (We are moving to our new house so we are too busy these days)

    I mailed this travel bug to the only active geocacher in Iran that I know of. Once the travel bug has been logged in Iran, I would like to see it travel the whole world.

    Update: I have contacted a geocacher in Iran by e-mail and I may send this travel bug directly to him so it can start it's journey from Iran. I don't think a travel bug has ever been in Iran before. I will post a note whenever anything exciting happens.

    Just received this Diabetes Awareness travel bug in the mail and will soon start it on it's way to Malayer, Iran! There are currently only 5 geocaches listed for the whole country of Iran and two of them are disabled. The city of Malayer is between Bahgdad, Iraq and Tehran, Iran, and has no geocaches within 200 miles. As you can tell, this travel bug is going to need a bunch of help to get to it's destination. It will probably need to go to Europe and connect up with someone who does business in Iran. Thanks for doing all you can to help.
