    Out by myself as I head home from SLO after loading / picking up my daughter from CalPoly. No snakes, but there is an empty bird's nest (maybe the snake got the bird). As I was leaving, saw Amtrak's Coast Starlight headed north (train 14) cross the trestle. Cache is in good shape. Elevation 598 feet. Weather ~85 degrees. Sunny, breezy.
