As far as Diabetes awareness goes... my mother has Type II. We learned many years ago that eliminating artificial sweeteners (to avoid the sweet cravings which kept her constantly looking for sweet foods or drinks), increasing water intake and regular exercise were the 3 keys to keeping her diabetes controlled. She is 81 years old now and her diabetes is not the least bit of a problem anymore.
