Geocache Description:

  [English]

This cache is about "passage graves", built in the Stone Age about 5,000 years ago. It belongs to a tradition of megalithic ("big stone") graves along the Atlantic coast of Europe. Sweden has 375 passage graves altogether, including 260 at Falbygden, the district round about the cache. Building a megalithic grave called for co-operation and organisation, which suggests that a well-organised society existed here at the same time as the pyramids of Egypt were being constructed.
This is the most well-known passage grave in the area
