Sun Makes Light Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Lyn Pat and Nathan: There are so many newer better caches that we have decided to archive this one. Its served its purpose but we think its time for it to go.
This releases this location for a newer team to reuse if they want.
Lots options but remember its hard to park here unless you have a 4wd or high clearance.

Geocache Description:

ALTERED CACHE DESCRIPION. Repaired: replaced lights and container. 04/08/13

This is a Solar Powered cache. 2 lights for redundancy.
Lets hope the muggles dont find it.(again)
Over time we have shortened the route as the bush kept growing and obscuring the markers
You can park downhill towards the houses on a side road if you have a normal car (bit of a walk but your car is amongst houses) or in the track entrance if you have a 4WD and can mount the kerb without scraping,we parked the commodore there and it didnt scrape.
Stand at the Right hand white post of the locked gate and use your torch to find the reflection. Go to that location and then follow all the remaining "reflections". The last one is directly above the cache near the base of a small tree.
From this location you should be able to see the light if its working.(just look down)
It should only take 15 minutes total to find the cache. If you can park on the track it’s not far at all.
Remember that it is solar powered and in testing it ran for up to 6 hours but that time will be shorter in winter and will get shorter as the battery ages. So if you plan to find it then just after sunset is the best time as that is when it switches itself on. If you find any problems please mention it in your log so we can do maintenance. We have also noticed that the "reflections" are'nt as bright when wet.
Have fun we hope you like this one. You may also find it an advantage to move around at the "reflections" as trees and shrubs may obstruct you view to the next one.
WARNING: beware of 2m drop near one of the reflectors.

FYI: This and the other cache nearby "Reflections at night" may be the oldest surviving Night caches in Australia. If someone finds an older one can they make a note of it as a cache log.
