A captivating wintertime destination in Apollo Beach. If you haven't been out to this location, we think you will find this to be worth the trip. This virtual cache is great for the whole family, especially the kids. The best time to try this cache is when it's cold out. The colder the better!
This facility is open to the public and there are no admission or parking fees. THIS IS A WINTER CACHE ONLY!! The area is open from November 1 through April 15th. Hours of operation are from 10am until 5pm. Don't even think of trying this cache outside of those dates/hours. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. There is ample parking and you won't be hiking very much. No boots, machetes or bug repellant required!
The coordinates listed here will put you at a prime viewing spot, where you will also find the answer to one of two questions you need to answer to claim this cache.
QUESTION #1: You will find a sign nearby titled, "Fish you may see." What kind of shark is depicted on the sign?
Once you've had your fill of the sights, go into the educational building on the grounds. Inside you will find the answer to a question that you will use to verify your visit to this cache.
QUESTION #2: Find the "Anatomy Adventure" display. In the list of bones, what is item #7?
Once you have your answers, please email them to us to confirm your visit (just click the "Message this owner" link at the top of this cache listing). PLEASE DO NOT post your answers to the cache page. Pictures are welcome with your log entries (if you don't know what this exhibit is yet, don't view the pics if you don't want to spoil the surprise). You'll want to bring your camera along on this one anyway!
