The Tennessee Valley Geocachers would like to invite you to a Merry Christmas / Contented Feast of the Immaculate Conception / Happy Hanukkah / Joyous Kwanzaa / Kickn' Tet / Blissful Bodhi / Cheerful Maunajiyaras / Wonderful Festival of Lights / Blessed Ramadan / Good Winter Solstice / Joyful Boxing Day / Festive Festivus / Community Celebration Event on December 10, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The festivities will be held at Famous Dave's BBQ in Cedar Bluff.
We will also be playing our locally famous Dirty Harry Chinese Santa Gift Exchange. If you've never played this, it's usually the highlight of the event. We suggest the gifts be in the $15-$20 range, but if you want to spend more we're not going to stop you! Also, you and/or your group may bring multiple gifts to receive additional exchanges.
Participation in the gift exchange is NOT required to attend the event; BUT, will make it funner (yes, funner is a word in East TN!)
Ugly Sweater Contest!
New for this year is an ugly sweater contest. So, darn your bestest, tackiest, ugliest yule garb and compete for fabulous prizes. (Host disclaimer: "fabulous" is a VERY relative term.) A prize will be awarded to each winner in these categories:
- Most Original
- Couple
- Most likely to get you arrested
- Tackiest
Community Celebration Events
This event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching hosted between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2022. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.
This may be your last opportunity to earn the cache type icon for events that enable cachers to commemorate Geocaching's 20th anniversary. Anyone who attends will be rewarded with the cache type icon on their profile.
