KING GEO requests your presence at MOGA MMXIII in the Kingdom of Cachelot. This event will be held during the month of April, days to include the 5th, 6th, and 7th, in the year Twenty Thirteen. The King will update his Kingdom with news from the round table at various intervals. If you put a watch on this listing or post a Will attend log, you’ll hear all the updates from the King's Herald.
MOGA has teamed up with the Central Illinois Geocaching Association, the US Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District, and Groundspeak to make your Quest for the Dragon's Cache full of adventure! The Kingdom of Cachelot has been fortified at Lake Shelbyville, Shelbyville, IL. The Central Round Table will be located at Shelbyville High School Gym, Shelbyville,IL.
MOGA 2013 will be the 10th year for the original MEGA competition and will be the largest MOGA yet. CACHELOT is going to be our theme this year and we have plenty of it. Last year we had almost 1000 registered attendees and we are expecting even more this year. Pas d'armes and Melee a pied Tournaments will commence on the 6th. For those Lords and Ladies who aren't into the tournaments make sure to bring your amulets of direction too! We plan to hide hundreds of permanent caches of all styles – hikers to park-n-grabs, ammo cans to micros, and special hides just for the little jesters.
NOTE:
- Basic attendance is free although everyone that attends must register and submit a waiver.
- Pre-registration recommended to avoid a long wait and to get a pre-printed nametag.
- As with all events, anyone attending may post an attended log to the cache page.
- Participation in the competitions is not required.
REGISTRATION:
This year we will have 5 registration levels. KING/QUEEN'S FEAST (VIP) , Noble's Fare, Knight's Swag, Squire's Select, and Jester's Court(Free).
KING/QUEEN'S FEAST (VIP): Will receive everything in Platinum but includes a special VIP version of the event coin and a VIP version of the Award coin. Also includes breakfast and lunch. VIPs wait in no lines for meals, checkin, waypoints, etc. Prices will be listed on the MOGA website.
Noble's Fare: Will receive T-Shirt, Event Geocoin, 10 Years of MOGA Geocoin, Pathtag Collector Set, Waterproof Cache Container, Drawstring Backpack, USB Drive, Lapel Pin, Can Koozie, and Carabiner. Prices will be listed on the MOGA website.
Knight's Swag: Everything in the Noble's Package but without the t-shirt. Prices will be listed on the MOGA website.
Squire's Select: Will receive Event Geocoin, Pathtag Collector Set, Waterproof Cache Container, Drawstring Backpack, USB Drive, Lapel Pin, Can Koozie, and Carabiner. Prices will be listed on the MOGA website.
Jester's Court:This is the FREE Registration. Will receive Nametag and lanyard.
In addition, competitors will be charged $5.00 per person. This fees goes toward the cost of the award geocoins. Each winning competitor receives an award geocoin.

Team Competition Four Person - $20.00 (Covers all 4 people)
Wizard's Challenge - $10.00 (Covers both people)
GEOCOINS and AWARDS:
MOGA 2013 is planning for 3 geocoins this year. One coin will be available to all attendees who want one. The second coin will be a special award coin just for the competitors and staff. GOLD - for first place, SILVER - for second place, and BRONZE - for third place. Staff receive a different finish. Also, there is also going to be a special 10 YEARS OF MOGA coin minted in a Limited Edition
COMPETITIONS:
The competitions will basically be the same as MOGA 2012 with the addition of the Wizard's Challenge. The age groups for the men's and women's individual competions and the team competition's will be the same.
- 29 and under
- 30 to 49
- 50 and above
For the two person teams we will take an average of the two ages to determine which age group you are in. For the four person teams we will first use a three person majority (3 people are 30 to 49, that's the group you will compete with). If there is no majority then we will use an average (22+33+45+60/4=40).
We will also be using water proof punch cards this year to ensure we have no problems with the weather.
Remember! Every winning competitor receives either a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Trackable Geocoin.
CAMPING:
We are now taking reservations for Lithia Springs Campground. See the MOGA website for details. Camping is also available at Wolf Creek State Park and Eagle Creek State Park through reserveamerica.com.
For those camping at Lithia Springs, you may arrive at any time but the pay booth will only be open during the following times.

Fri 9am-12pm & 5-9pm
Sat 11am-1pm
Also please note:
NO parking on the grass. Parking in the campground has to be on your site or in a designated parking area.
As a reminder 10pm is quiet hours.
Title 36 will been enforced as usual.
FOOD:
We will be serving a Hot Breakfast and you have 2 options for lunch, boxed or hot. See the MOGA store for details. We will not be serving dinner at MOGA Central this year. There are many restaurants in the area anxious to serve you.
TRACKABLES:
With all of the activities during MOGA 2013, We WILL NOT have the time or the staff to have a properly run trackable table. Please do not drop your trackables into the event.
PRIZES AND GIVEAWAYS:
We are contacting major GPSr manufacturers and various other companies including Groundspeak to donate prizes to give away at our Saturday Awards ceremony. Everyone will receive an attendance ticket in their registration packet. Just put your caching name on the ticket and put it in the container associated with the prize you would like to win. We are expecting lots of stuff to arrive so keep checking the MOGA WEBSITE for details about what the prizes are and how you can increase your chances of winning.
CANS FOR CHANCES
One way to get more raffle tickets is of course bringing non-perishable food and cans for the food drive to benefit the local food pantry.
