Geocache Description:

At the summit of Signal Hill scenic reserve is a lookout, and a monument comprising two large bronze statues that commemorate 100 years of British sovereignty (1840 - 1940). Dunedin's Scottish ties are recognised by the fact that a piece of rock from Edinburgh Castle is incorporated into the lookout.

As many of you will know, visitor numbers are on the increase, Cruise Ships and a fast approaching Holiday Season with loads of visitors. Let us show them how clean and beautiful our city really is....... Come have a day of fun cleaning up one of the nicest views of the City and to make it worth the while. Some spot prizes in the form of trackables will be up for grabs, even a drink and a South African sausage on the BBQ for the hardworking elves. So come on..... Lets do it Geocachers!!! Help show others what clean means.
Lets meet at 10 AM at GZ.Good weather, bring along some sunblock. Bad weather, bring along a rain coat. Will supply rubbish bags and rubber gloves,feel free to bring your own gloves. Something to drink and biscuits will be supplied. Some prizes will be handed out for the biggest,the most collected and strangest rubbish collected.
