Geocache Description:

Help clean up the streamside at the mouth of the Water of Leith.

This is a 350m long by 5m wide strip of long grass and lupins on the true right of the Leith, between the Liquigas oil storage fence and the water. Children will enjoy running around here (naturally, watch them closely by the water).

Date: Sunday 30th October 2011

Weather forecast

Time: 10am
We expect it to take about an hour. If we get finished too quickly, we can always clean up the true left side of the Leith Mouth as well, from Nu Nutcase along past the breakwater and the dog on rails to the start of the cycleway.

Meeting place: Park at the end of Minerva St, and meet beside the new State Highway 88 bridge.

We'll put on name labels (so geocachers who haven't been to an event before can put faces to names and usernames).
Then we'll distribute rubbish bags, walk under the bridge and start picking up rubbish from there.

There is no public toilet nearby - the one in Logan Park is kept locked. The closest public toilet will be at the Railway Station.

Bring:
- Gloves (if you wish)
- A drink for yourself
- Sunhat and suncream (fingers crossed!)
- Warm and windproof clothing

We'll provide:
- Rubbish bags
- Gloves
- Name labels
- Hand sanitiser
- Biscuits when we reach the end

And for extra points- who can remember where Cache Mastery 404 - Searching was hidden?
It's still there, but totally soaked.
