Dies ist ein Event der Leipziger Cacher-Gemeinde für die internationale Cacher-Community.
Im April 2003 entstand der Traum, die Olympischen Spiele 2012 nach Leipzig zu holen, um der Welt die boomende Metropole zu zeigen. Doch dann sollte es anders kommen. Irgendetwas ging schief. 2004 war er vorerst vorbei, der Traum von den Spielen. Aber nicht lange. Wir wollen die Spiele! Darum lassen wir sie stattfinden: “PROJECT: GeoGames 2012”!
Leipzig wartet auf Euch und freut sich auf Euch.
Es gibt reichlich von allem:
- Spiele (Bekanntes und Unbekanntes),
- Sport (von leicht bis extrem),
- Caches (alte und viele neue),
- Essen und Trinken an verschiedenen Gastronomieständen,
- eine Shopping Mall mit bekannten und weniger bekannten Ausstellern,
- Unterhaltung – von der Eröffnung bis zum Dosenfischerkonzert und hoffentlich
- ganz, ganz viele Cacher mit bester Laune und Lust auf Leipzig!
Das Gelände direkt an der Leipziger Messe erwartet Euch vom 29. Juni bis zum 1. Juli 2012.
Ein Highlight im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes - TRAU DICH 75(m)
Der Messeturm wird zur Seilbahn: Bringt 75 Meter Luft unter Euch und traut Euch ans Seil! Erfahrene Industriekletterer spannen ein Stahlseil über mehr als 100m vom Turm bis zum Boden, und diejenigen, die per Losentscheid aus allen Freiwilligen ausgewählt werden, dürfen zeigen, ob sie sich trauen! Aus logistischen Gründen können leider nur ca. 40 Mutige das Spektakel selbst erleben – aber hier geht Sicherheit über alles. Am Freitagabend wird während der Eröffnungsveranstaltung die Auslosung durchgeführt.

This is an event in Leipzig for the international cacher community.
In April 2003, we had the dream, the Olympic Games 2012 would take place in Leipzig to show the world the booming metropolis. But things came different and something went wrong. In 2004 the dream of the games was destroyed. But not for a long time. We still want the games! So we decided to start our own: "PROJECT: GeoGames 2012"!
Leipzig is waiting for you and looking forward to meet you.
There is plenty of everything:
- Games (known and unknown),
- Sport (from easy to extreme),
- Caches (old and many new ones)
- Food and drinks at various food stalls,
- a shopping mall with known and less known exhibitors,
- Entertainment - from the opening ceremony to the Dosenfischer concert and hopefully
- many, many cachers with high spirits and a desire to Leipzig!
The site is located directly on the Leipziger Messe and is expecting your visit from 29 June to 1 July 2012.
A highlight - in the truest sense of the word - will be TRAU DICH 75 (m)
The tower of the fair will be transformed into a cable railway: Take a ride on the rope above 75-meter if you dare to! Experienced industrial climbers will clamp a steel rope for more than 100m from the tower to the ground, and those who are chosen by lot from all the volunteers may show if they dare! For logistical reasons, unfortunately, only about 40 brave ones might experience the spectacle itself – because there is safety above everything else. On Friday evening the lottery drawing will be performed during the opening ceremony.
