Where were you on May 3rd,
2000?
On May 3, 2000, Dave Ulmer placed a five-gallon bucket at N 45
17.460 W122 24.800. He listed the coordinates on the Internet and
Geocaching was born. The original cache contained a Delorme Topo
USA and 2 CDs, a cassette recorder, a "George of the Jungle" video
tape, a Ross Perot book, four $1 bills, a slingshot handle, and a
can of beans.
To commemorate the Anniversary, we will be celebrating this event
with a Potluck Picnic. In honor of the OCB, the potluck will have a
Bean theme. Please bring a bean dish to share.
We will provide Hot Dogs and paper products so let
us know how many will be in your party.
