A Pirates Treasure Chest Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

A wooded treasure chest inside of a large metal strong box that is padlocked. It is loaded with Pirate goodies and swag. The key is hidden though.

For all ye Buccaneers at heart, this be our first cache site we have set up. It be set to a pirate theme too. Might as well be, were out looking for th' treasure right?

This cache be right out in th' open at th' entrance way to our property. There be a metal strong box with a big chain and padlock on it and its all concreted into th' ground. Inside o' it, be a wooden pirates chest filled with loot. Th' trick be finding th' key that unlocks that darned padlock and gets ye to all that neat stuff.. The coordinates listed be to the location of the key which is hidden not far from the chest. Be sure to pay attention to the ROT13 clue provided or ye be waisting yer time looking. Cap’n Jack Sparrow himself would be pleased with this treasure! Be sure to check out the gallery for images.

Come across th' key, unlock th' metal chest and th' get booty.! There be a really big Cap’ns log book for ye to sign and even a pirates flag for ye to hoist up when ye’ve found th' treasure! Raise it up on the nearby flagpole. This lets th' rest o' us pirates in th' area be knowin' that yer out there staking yer claim. Just leave it flying. It lets us know someone came by. If the flag is already flying, lower it and raise it up again, Ye earned it. We well take it down and get it ready when we come by if needed.

Th' original contents o' th' wooden treasure chest be loaded with lots of worthy Pirate swag.

There be notebooks, pirate eye patches, lots o' fake gold Doubloon, beaded necklaces, lots o' plastic toys, small games, cache sized pencils, foreign coins, plastic emergency ponchos, fishing line clippers and lanyards to start with..Th' items be all placed in baggies, pick out what ye like from the bags and weigh anchor for th' rest for th' other pirates to rummage through.

Then get yer gps ready and hunt for th' key. There be no need to go beyond th' rock wall/ entry gate onto th' property or to climb over fences or to wander down th' driveway. Everything be right up front at th' entry way.

This be our property and we enjoy really enjoy geocaching and want to give back some o' th' fun and adventures we’ve received.doing this. If ye wish to trade, bring yer trade items..No sabers or rum please. This be a very family oriented cache sight mateys.

Ye be respectful o' th' property and that there be no “dark time” cache hunting going on…..Its a dirt county road that isnt a safe place to be walking around at night time and there are critters out there in the dark.

Our road is Rianna Woods Drive. Modern technology hasnt quite caught up to putting our street just right on google/maps etc. The maps shown here arent exactly the way it is out here. County Line Road does connect into Rianna Woods Drive now on one end. You can also come our way via FM812 cutting through the High View Ranch subdivision using either High View Ranch Road or Green Mountain. This cache site is not on Crooked Road like the google maps here show.Trust yer GPS and the coordinates , youll find us. If it helps, we are in Dale, Texas.

What do ye say Mate? Will ye be th' first to claim this treasure? Godspeed to ye Pirates!
