According to numerous observations made by local residents (who
wish to remain nameless), mysterious lights were seen falling into
a local Alexandra Hills bushland reserve, during the late evening
of 1st April 2008.
According to one of the local residents who went out to
investigate the next day “No object could be found in the area and
I don’t believe the so called official explanation that the lights
we saw were from meteorites or a piece of space wreckage!!”
"Various other witnesses to the phenomena have come forward
since the mysterious sighting. According to them, the sighting
involved a large circular object of intense brilliance which was
accompanied by other lesser (smaller) objects. Some witnesses claim
to have seen up to seven objects around it."
Another witness reported:
"I was at a friend's house on the night in question. I recently
purchased a pair of 16X70 binoculars for star gazing. The sky was
finally clear for a couple of nights after days of clouds, and I
wanted my friend to check out Jupiter. We went out his patio door
and my friend was attempting to look at Jupiter through my
binoculars. I was talking about how I could see Saturn earlier in
the evening when I suddenly saw one really bright light and six dim
reddish lights in a V-formation moving slowly from the south. Three
on one side and three on the other."
"I said to my friend, 'What the [bleep] is that!?'"
"He started to say, 'That's an aeropla...' when he realised
there was absolutely no sound; the lights were not flashing; and it
was too close and large to be an aeroplane with no sound."
"I pulled my binoculars from him to take a closer look. I
couldn't see it in my binoculars at all. I took the binoculars away
from my eyes and said, 'Where did they go?'"
"He pointed to it, but I couldn't see it any more, and then he
told me they just dropped straight down into that piece of
bushland."
Ever since that one fateful night, residents have been reporting
unexplained disappearances and strange sightings of small lights
with a frequent occurrence. One resident confirmed that a local
bushland expert (Professor Iva Seenitall) went to investigate the
“rumours” a week after the first sighting was announced. It was
said that Professor Seenitall was seen entering the bushland area
just on dark and has not been seen from nor heard of since.
According to inside sources, after hearing of the disappearance of
the professor, local residents dare not enter the local bushland
after sunset for they too fear that they may also disappear.
"An official spokesman from the Royal Australian Air Force said
they were keeping an open mind about the sightings and the strange
events that have occurred since 1st April 2008. ‘Police are aware
of residents concerns and are increasing patrols in the area. If we
get a lot more sightings in the same area, it may be something we
think about actively investigating further.'"
Fearing that UFO fanatics may swarm to the site and suffer the
same fate as Professor Iva Seenitall, the local community has
banded together and designated that a “Safe Zone” (S27 31.808 E153
14.402), just outside the bushlands boundary, can be safely parked
at but at no point should you ever venture inside the bushlands,
after dark, to the nearby trail starting at S27 31.825 E153
14.404.
For those that do not heed this warning, please take note:
“The bushlands are perfectly safe during daylight hours between
sunrise and sunset. You are free to wander around and enjoy the
local bushland surroundings as no lights have ever been seen nor
disappearances taken place during these times. Outside of these
hours however, do not come crawling back to us if you disappear and
are NEVER heard of again !!
”
To find the UFO ("errr... cache...") you'll need to follow the
"light trail" throughout the bush. If you ever find yourself off a
well defined track, you are not going the right way !!! The only
time you'll need to do a little bush bash is right at the very end
to "spot the wreckage".
To find "the wreckage", follow the trail till you find 5
mysterious lights all lined up in a row. Once you see these, take a
bearing of 115 degrees for 22m and smile!!! At the location where
you smile take another bearing of 56 degrees for another 24m and
you find "the wreckage".
To help you find your way back to your car, we have included
some instructions within the cache to give you a short cut back to
your vehicle.
