Geocache Description:

Located near a well-known picturesque desert water source favored by waterfowl in the early mornings and by noisy humans in the late afternoons and nights.

Skirt the water source to locate waypoint #1. Next hop over a barbed wire fence heading out into sage brush and lava rock country. Waypoint #2 takes you into the heart of one fantastic geologic formation!

Be careful, this formation could bring back memories of riotous games of cowboys and indians as kids. Adventurous geocachers can enjoy, up close and personal, the awesome enormity of this desert formation as well as panoramic views of the high desert & majestic Cascade mountains.

Now throw in a little bit of western history at waypoint #2 and this might just be a memorable caching adventure.

The ammo can cache is filled with some pretty neat "treasure". First finders may have difficulty in choosing. This is also the launching pad for four Travel Bugs that originated from Aransas Pass, Texas in the form of a Christmas gift from our terrific nephew.

Enjoy!
