Courtenay (Canterbury) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

BaldEd: Due to the continuing earthquake aftershock damage I have decided to archive this cache. The ground cracks in the park are opening wider. It is getting more and more dangerous to walk in this park.

Geocache Description:

Located in North Canterbury's Rivertown.

This cache has been established firstly as an introductory cache for geocaching newbies, and secondly for those who are afflicted with G.A.S. (Geocaching Addiction Syndrome) and who just have to chase down every cache no matter what the hour of the day or night.

WARNING. Since the earthquake (4th Sept 2010) cracks have opened up in the ground within 10m of the cache. The cracks are hidden in the tussock. Be careful where you step.

The cache is a small camo-painted container, containing a logbook and some small items.
